Camps that provide a safe week of happy memories, building self worth and confidence, learning life skills, and creating hope for the future, for children who have experienced abuse.

Role and responsibilities

  1. Provide early morning energisers for children and buddies before breakfast each morning.
  2. Provide a variety of group games at times provided in the program.
  3. Expect to be flexible in the provision of physical activities and roll with changes due to time constraints.
  4. Attend daily staff meetings with Camp Director.
  5. Remain at camp for the full duration.
  6. Motivate reluctant participants with plenty enthusiasm and fun.
  7. Assist with camp set up and pack down and ensure all equipment required id available.
  8. Ensure all equipment used is returned to its proper place after activities.
  9. Enforce correct use of equipment, and ensure qualified staff are in attendance where required during group activity times.
  10. Stop any activities where qualified staff are required and arenot in attendance.
  11. Give children a daily update of activities being provided that day.
  12. Prior to camp, liaise with Camp Director re any equipment/materials required.
  13. Fill in a Risk Management Day Programme Venues form for each activity C.2b
